While on national television Congresswoman Cheri Bustos, the Chairwoman of the DCCC, refused to answer one simple question:

“Is she [AOC] good for the Democratic Caucus?”

The DCCC has said for months that they exist to back Democratic incumbents and support their re-election. It’s their stated reason for why they created their blacklist policy as well.

But now, the Chairwoman of the DCCC won’t say a progressive incumbent is good for the Democratic Caucus? It’s pure hypocrisy.

We know that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is good for the Democratic Party. Her election to Congress helped spark a movement of folks — young people, women, people of color, working class people — from across the country who are now energized about making progressive change.
