Friends -

Your help is needed. We need to defend our 2nd Amendment Rights.
Democratic-Socialist Rep. Elisabeth Epps is behaving like a real socialist and launching an assault on the 2nd Amendment.

Once convicted and sentenced to jail time for interfering with police ([link removed]) , Epps, who has just been sworn into office, is now interfering with our constitutional rights. A draft of her House Bill, “Prohibition of Assault Weapons in Colorado,” shows she aims to ban anyone in Colorado from “possessing, manufacturing, importing, purchasing, selling, offering to sell, or transferring ownership” of specific, everyday guns.

Let’s boldly call this what it is: unconstitutional and dangerous.
* Included in the draft of Epps’ ridiculous bill, are semi-automatic pistols – an extremely popular and common type of gun that many women, specifically, use for self-defense. The 10 most popular guns purchased by women in 2020 were ALL semi-auto pistols. This bill is anti-woman.
* If a property owner has a personal shooting range that isn't licensed by the government, he would be banned from letting a friend shoot any of the property owner's weapons if they're listed by Epps.
* Merely picking up a gun at your friend’s house could make you both criminals if her bill passes.
* If you already own one of these weapons, you’re not free and clear. If you’ve allowed a friend or family member to borrow it, you may have to turn your gun over to a police officer who asks. The only way you can keep a gun you legally own is if you have “maintained continuous possession” of it.

We must stand up and fight against this unconstitutional legislation.

If you’ve ever held any of the guns listed in this bill, the Democrats consider you a danger to Colorado. Epps says that these guns “in civilian hands endanger Colorado’s…communities at large.” It’s no longer violent criminals who put us all in danger. It’s no longer Epps herself – who’s actually served jail time for committing a crime. It’s YOU.

Socialist Epps also says 44% of mass shootings have involved a handgun. It’s perfectly clear that she has an end goal in mind: working with her far-left comrades to ban those next.

Elisabeth Epps' gun ban is unconstitutional and dangerous. Remind them that all women in Colorado need the right to defend themselves with semi-automatic pistols -- women's self-defense weapon of choice.
