A lot will be said and written about the last 100 hours in Washington - a historic four days that not only gave Americans a new Speaker of the House, but more importantly, a fresh start. Nothing about the process to transfer power to former Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has been easy, but at the end of the day, nothing worth pursuing ever is. When the smoke clears and Republicans get to work, one thing will be obvious - the pain of this past week was trivial compared to what was gained: a chance to move forward, united. |

As retail pharmacy giants CVS and Walgreens announced they plan to carry abortion pills - and may soon be joined by Rite Aid - thousands of Christians have signed a petition pleading with them not to facilitate the fastest-growing form of abortion, which also inflicts the greatest harms on women. |

State Dept. Announces Grant to Promote LGBT Policy Agenda Overseas |

A new grant competition will award up to $1.5 million for projects to promote LGBT communities and agendas overseas, the U.S. State Department Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announced last week. These projects would "(1) empower local movements and communities; (2) prevent, mitigate, and recover from violence, discrimination, stigma, and human rights abuses; (3) promote full social inclusion; or (4) address critical issues of justice" in foreign countries whose governments have not caved to the LGBT agenda. |

As FBI Investigation Lags, Attacked Pregnancy Center Hires Private Investigator |

Six and a half months after the FBI announced the opening of an investigation into a series of violent attacks against pregnancy resource centers and pro-life organizations, the Bureau has yet to disclose any progress or whether any arrests have been made in the probe. As a result, at least one pregnancy resource center that was targeted is now hiring a private investigator to conduct its own inquiries into the unsolved attacks. |
