Hello Striped Bass Stakeholders, 

Maine and New Hampshire will be hosting a joint public hearing tonight, January 9, from 6:00-8:00PM to gather public input on Draft Addendum I to Amendment 7, which considers allowing voluntary transfers of striped bass ocean commercial quota between states. 

Draft Addendum I

The Draft Addendum proposes a range of options that would permit voluntary transfers of ocean commercial quota, including options based on stock status and options allowing the Board to set criteria for transfers on a regular basis. A copy of Draft Addendum I can be found HERE

Public Hearing:

The joint Maine/New Hampshire public hearing is today, January 9th, from 6:00-8:00PM. You can attend the hearing via webinar or in-person at the NH Fish & Game Urban Forestry Center. 
  • Webinar: Register for the webinar at this LINK. Be sure to select the Maine/New Hampshire hearing from the drop-down menu when registering. 
  • In-Person: New Hampshire will be hosting stakeholders at the Urban Forestry Center: 45 Elwyn Road, Portsmouth, NH. There is not an in-person hearing location scheduled in Maine. 
Public Comment:
Stakeholders are also encouraged to submit written comment. Public comment will be accepted until 11:59 PM (EST) on January 13, 2023. Written comments can be submitted via email or mail.
