Dear John,
I wanted to let you know about an exciting new podcast series dedicated to the status of global health today.
Health Poverty Action is proud to be part of the People’s Health Movement.
The People’s Health Movement have launched a new podcast series dedicated to the latest Global Health Watch publication “In the Shadow of the Pandemic.” [[link removed]] The podcast will explore a range of issues including post-pandemic hopefulness, gender inequalities during Covid-19 in the majority world, universal health coverage and so much more.
What is the People’s Health Movement?
In 2000, thousands of health campaigners and civil society representatives (including Health Poverty Action) gathered for a worldwide People’s Health Assembly. This was in response to the failed market-led approach that had resulted in a global health crisis. From this, the “People’s Health Movement” was born. This global network of grassroots activists, civil society organisations and academic institutions, particularly from the majority world, continues to work for health justice – so that one day the vision of Health For All will become reality. Learn more this vision and about our history working with PHM here [[link removed]].
Join us in listening to the podcast
The podcasts will be released every Monday, starting from January 9th, 2023 and will be available for free in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic. Follow the GHW6 space on the PHM website [[link removed]] for updates and further announcements.
In solidarity,
Natalie Sharples,
Head of Policy and Campaigns
