The first ultra-competitive election of 2023 is happening here in Virginia tomorrow – and the consequences of this race go far beyond one district.

The special election to fill Jen Kiggans’ Senate seat is the first of several that will take place this year to determine control of the Virginia State Senate and the future of Virginia.

If we win this race, Democrats can expand their razor-thin majority, stop Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s right-wing agenda, and build unstoppable momentum heading into the elections this fall.

But if we lose, our slim majority will be more at risk this November – and Richmond Republicans will slash gun safety legislation, attack abortion access, and restrict voting rights ahead of 2024.

We can’t stand by and watch while the far right dismantles our rights and freedoms.
