John, in November, voters across the country proved that they’re willing to fight for abortion rights against the anti-choice extremists who threaten them.

That fight is just beginning. The next battle will take place in two days: a special election for a State Senate seat that could very well decide the future of safe abortion access in Virginia.

Here’s why: Gov. Glenn Youngkin wants to enact a statewide abortion ban – and the only thing standing in his way is the narrow three-seat Democratic majority in the State Senate.

But now, we have an incredibly rare opportunity to flip a red seat blue and expand our majority.

My friend Aaron Rouse is running for this seat to uphold our Democratic principles and defend reproductive freedom in Richmond – but his pro-Trump opponent will help Gov. Youngkin enforce dangerous abortion restrictions on millions of Virginians.
