Republicans control the House Majority now, and they’re threatening to hold debt ceiling negotiations hostage -- potentially sending our economy into financial crisis and devastating the economic well-being of working families -- all so they can make drastic cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

According to The Hill, “The mere threat of default can generate costs for virtually all Americans.” Republicans’ actions threaten Americans’ retirement accounts, veterans’ benefits, and Social Security payments.

We don’t need to wonder if Senate Republicans would try something similar -- they’ve already said they want to.

Next year, Senate Republicans only need to flip two seats to take back control of the Majority (and only one if they win the presidency). And according to POLITICO, Democrats are facing a “brutal 2024 map.”

We can’t leave anything up to chance. We need to put in the work now for a competitive, expensive race, and we’re counting on your help. Will you chip in a few dollars today?
