I’ve been thinking about my resolutions for 2023 — and I realize I really just want one thing: to beat as many bigoted politicians as possible.

The anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and policy peddled by Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Ron DeSantis is dangerous.

Their crusade against my community has had predictable consequences. According to experts, violence against LGBTQ+ people increased dramatically in 2022.

We can — and must — stand up for LGBTQ+ lives. Everyone deserves a chance to live their life with dignity and safety.
