As the 118th Congress kicks off, I’m getting to work to determine what legislation to introduce and co-sponsor with our newly expanded Senate majority.

I want to take this opportunity to get your feedback and hear what issues you want Congress to prioritize. So I’ve put together a short survey to give you a chance to share your opinion.

As I’m sure you’ve seen, House Republicans failed over and over this week to pick a Speaker and begin organizing the chamber. The problem is many of them didn’t run for office to actually govern. Too many ran because they wanted to be part of a reality TV show, and therefore, chaos is part of their goal. I wish Republicans weren’t this dysfunctional; it’s bad for the country.

The country is seeing now, and will see over the next two years, that Republicans cannot and will not govern. But there should be narrow opportunities for bipartisanship, and as someone who knows how to get big bipartisan bills across the finish line, I need to be ready.

For the last two years in the Senate, we’ve demonstrated that big, bipartisan wins are still possible — on gun safety, infrastructure, American manufacturing, electoral reforms and more. And I want more.

But that’s why I need to hear what issues are most important to you.
