As the dust settles on the 2022 midterm election, we’re still looking at our victories. A great case study is Minnesota’s Dem AG Keith Ellison, who just won reelection in November.
While his Republican opponent attempted to sow fear, AG Ellison reframed the conversation around public safety to acknowledge the intersection between crime and financial insecurity – and about how he’d worked to get illegal guns off Minnesota’s streets. Dem AGs are leading the way in successful campaigns and showing that not only are these seats winnable but that smart messaging works.
