I’ve seen enough, John: the Republicans are in ruin.
For many years, Republicans have criticized Democrats and called us divided and disorganized.
But under just two years of Democratic House leadership, we passed hundreds of billions of dollars into economic relief, infrastructure investments, and climate action. We won major gun control legislation. And we just had the best midterm showing in decades.
The Republicans could barely even agree on who they want to lead their party. Is this truly how they intend to govern? Once again, the GOP has shown that it cares about power more than serving the people.
The people are looking to us to serve them, and Democrats will step up. Can you rush a donation today to support me during this critical moment?
John, we always knew this transition would be challenging. But this is beyond the pale. Our job as Democrats now is to be the proposition party, not just the opposition party.
Despite all the claims leading up to the midterm elections of a “red wave,” none came. The American people do not want to be led by extremists who care more about their egos than passing the life-saving policies we need on the ground now.
That’s why we will show the Republicans how to lead while they bicker among themselves — and progressives will continue to fight every day for our people-first agenda.
In solidarity,
Pramila
