Republicans in the General Assembly are going after abortion rights in Virginia. GOP Del. Marie March has proposed legislation that would create a total ban on abortion and Del. John McGuire introduced legislation to prevent women who receive Medicaid from getting abortion care - even in cases of abuse.

Fortunately, there is something Democrats can do. There’s a special election on Tuesday in SD-07 that could change the balance of power in the Virginia Senate and block all of the anti-abortion legislation that the GOP puts forth from becoming law.
