Team, last night I had the distinct honor of being sworn in to the 118th Congress. I am so grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to represent our communities and the folks that call them home. Today is a historic moment, as I am the first Latina to represent Oregon in Congress. My dad came to the United States from Mexico in 1950 and worked in the fields picking cotton and tomatoes before he was in the first grade. It's my family's story that made me believe change is possible in a single generation – but only if we work for it. I can’t promise that change will come easily. But I can promise that, no matter what lies ahead, I will be your champion – always. It’s the honor of my lifetime to be your Congresswoman, and I will use every minute of my time in office to fight for a future that doesn’t leave anyone behind. You, along with all of my other supporters, have built our people-powered campaign, and I am so incredibly proud to have you on my team. I’m so excited to see what we accomplish together next. Andrea
