John, last night I was sworn in as a member of the 118th Congress. It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve my country once again and to represent western Pennsylvania and all of the hardworking people that call it home.

Today is the beginning of our next journey, John, and I’m so grateful to have you by my side.

The Republican dysfunction that played out over the past week is an example of what happens when our leaders put politics over people. John, you sent me to Congress to push back against that extremism and chaos.

That’s why every day, in every decision, whether I’m in western Pennsylvania or in Washington, I promise I will always put you, your families, and this country first. I will dedicate my time in Congress to fighting for our common good, for our shared prosperity, and for a government that serves all of us and puts people first.

John, thank you for your support. Without you, and folks just like you throughout western Pennsylvania, none of this would have been possible. I’m so excited to see what we accomplish together next.
