Happy New Year, John!

I’m sending you a quick note to let you know that today, I was sworn in for my third term in Congress. It was a historic day, and I couldn’t be more honored to take on the important work that lays ahead.

Our journey to return to Congress was not easy. But with grit, determination and a commitment to our shared values, we emerged victorious in a very challenging race. I am so honored to be able to continue working toward making life better for working families everywhere.

The issues before our country are significant — from attacks on women’s rights to restrictions at the ballot box and so much more. And with the House majority in Republicans’ hands, I know the path toward progress will be accompanied by new challenges.

But this team is no stranger to a tough fight, and when we stand together, I’m confident that we can stand up against right-wing obstruction and optimistic that we can continue to make the progress our communities are counting on.

We’ll have more updates for you in the coming days, but thank you again for helping us make it to this historic day. Our work is still just beginning — and I couldn’t be more honored to have you a part of this team.
