John,

After four days and 15 votes for speaker, I was finally sworn in to serve another term representing Northeastern Pennsylvanians in the 118th Congress. As I took the oath on the House floor, I couldn't help but feel so much gratitude for everything this grassroots team has helped do over the last year.

Together in 2022, we accomplished so much. We passed legislation to lower prescription drug costs, improve our crumbling infrastructure, and took steps to lower costs at the pump and the grocery store. And, we won a tough re-election battle – your support is the reason I'm one of only five Democrats to win a House race in a district carried by Donald Trump.

I'm so grateful to have each of you on my team. We've made great progress last year, but our work is far from over and Republicans inability to choose a speaker for days makes it clear we have a long session ahead of us with many tough fights.

While Republicans may have retaken the House majority and are unsure the future of their party and their priorities for this next session, I remain committed to fighting for the issues that matter most to Northeastern Pennsylvanians.

So let me say thank you again, John. I'm honored to have the chance to once again serve as your congressman, and I'm ready to get back to work fighting for you.
