McConnell and the Senate's inaction is killing us -- nearly 40,000 people have died and one year has passed since Universal Background Checks were introduced. We’ve been back to the Hill every single week lobbying for something, anything, to get passed in the Senate. And still? They do NOTHING.
Their childish inaction and lack of responsibility cannot continue. On Wednesday, January 22nd, we will be bringing the power of art to the Senate. We, the youth of America, will be calling out their childish behavior and taking a stand -- like the real adults we are. We will be going office to office in the Senate and begging them to hear our cries for help.
Then? We are OCCUPYING the office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Weneed every young person who has been affected by gun violence, who has walked out of their high school, who signed a petition asking for change, who tweeted about gun reform -- we need you NOW. This is the chance for our generation to take back what is ours -- our safety and freedom from gun violence. We deserve Senators that represent their constituents and work for our safety -- not play politics with our lives.
