This new year – and new decade – is a great time to start fresh with goals and inspiration. The beginning of a year is characterized for many folks with resolutions. A tradition I have is to write a list of 100 things I want to accomplish in my lifetime. But this is not a bucket list. Once you complete something, you have to replace it! For me, fishing in all 50 states is one of my goals. It is also important that you keep a 'done' list, so you always have your list of accomplishments to look back on. My advice for the year is to take time and make your own list. What would be on your list of 100 things?

Senator Enzi supports new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., voted in support of the United States, Mexico and Canada Agreement (USMCA), bringing the deal one step closer to final approval. Enzi said the new agreement would help boost economic growth in Wyoming and across the country.

“This is a modern trade deal built to work for modern businesses,” Enzi said. “Wyoming workers have a lot to gain in opportunities from this agreement. For many industries like agriculture, machinery and minerals, this deal would help create and maintain quality jobs in the state while fostering new innovation and fairer trade across the board.”

Enzi introduces Lower Costs, More Cures Act
to tackle prescription drug prices

Enzi and four Senate colleagues introduced the Lower Costs, More Cures Act to lower prescription drug prices, bring greater transparency to the prescription drug industry and encourage American ingenuity in the development of new treatments and cures.

“Lowering drug prices is critical to help ensuring patients can afford the care they need,” Enzi said. “There are many proposals in Congress focused on lowering the costs of prescription drugs, but our legislation focuses on the solutions with the strongest bipartisan support. I have long believed that the best way to get good legislation passed is to focus on the 80 percent we agree on and leave out the 20 percent we can’t. That’s the guiding principle of this legislation and I hope Congress takes it up soon so we can help bring relief from high drug costs to more Americans.”

Enzi introduces bill to modernize how community colleges report information

Enzi, U.S. Senators John Barrasso, R-Wyo., and Mitt Romney, R-Utah, introduced legislation that would help ensure community colleges are more accurately reporting on graduation rates to provide better transparency for students.

“It’s important for students and families to have the most accurate information before choosing a college that best fits their needs,” Enzi said. “The Time for Completion Act would benefit Wyoming’s seven community colleges by more appropriately reflecting the diversity of our students there.”
