This past Tuesday, I looked forward to being sworn in for a third term serving the PA-04 communities and neighborhoods I’ve called home my entire life.
And then Tuesday came and went with my colleagues across the aisle showing their incapability of selecting a Speaker.
So did Wednesday. So did Thursday.
As I write to you today, Friday, I am still, technically, Congresswoman-elect as our country does not yet have a sworn-in, functioning House of Representatives.
As this dysfunction continues to unfold, in the face of such infighting and failed leadership, I’m particularly mindful of all that we accomplished in the last two years of unified Democratic control of Washington — and I’m feeling reenergized to take back the House in 2024.
