John,

This week one of my opponents triggered what is called the “millionaire’s amendment” — a rule that says if a candidate can afford to give their own campaign $250,000 or more out of their own pocket , annual limits are doubled and they can raise twice as much money from their donors.

John, elections are expensive. I know it and so do all my opponents, but here’s the thing: Elections shouldn’t be about who has the most money. We cannot simply sell the Mayor’s office to the highest bidder.

I am running to be your next Mayor of the City of Philadelphia because you should expect more and deserve better from our City. I not only have a proven track record of bringing real solutions to the table, I have built a career dedicated to service: That means putting people first.

Will you chip in $25 or even just $10 to help keep me in this fight? If we can’t keep pace with the influx of money from my opponent, we risk losing it all. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement, John. It means more than you know.
