A Hong Kong businessman’s fight for democracy
Jimmy Lai has been in jail since August 2020 when he was charged with “foreign collusion” by the Chinese government after a raid on the pro-democracy Apple Daily publication. Lai currently faces the possibility of life in prison for supporting Hong Kong’s democracy movement.
