Friend, the last year was full of challenges in health care—from budget cuts that threatened Medicare and rural hospitals to the current surge in respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Supporters like you never gave up, and for that we are so grateful.
The fight to ensure health care access for people across the country is far from over, but we want to take a moment to highlight some victories made possible by you, Friend:
-Our Coalition grew to about 2.7 million members—that’s a lot of collective power for patients, hospitals, and health systems!
-When rural hospitals were at risk of losing critical federal funding, our coalition sprung into action and sent nearly 3,000 messages to the inboxes of lawmakers in a single week.
-In 2022, we made one thing clear to Congress: we need lawmakers to protect Medicare. This past year, we sent our representatives and senators over 29,545 messages urging them to stop budget cuts to Medicare.
Whether you’ve been in our Coalition for years or if this was your first, thank you for being in this fight with us. As we look toward the upcoming year and the new challenges to health care our nation will face, we want to know: Will you continue to advocate for health care in 2023?
