Late season upland hunting opportunities include the Upland Slam
Upland game seasons last through Jan. 31, 2023, and late season opportunities often yield memorable hunts. You also have time to work on the Nebraska Upland Slam: Bag four species and take home an official certificate, pin and bragging rights, as well as the chance to win prizes from Pheasants Forever.

Late season deer opportunities abound
The final weeks of deer season are here, but opportunities to fill your freezer still exist. A season choice permit allows for late season antlerless firearm deer harvest through Jan. 15, or choose a river antlerless late firearm permit to continue hunting through Jan. 31.

Be aware of changes before spring turkey season opens
A heads up to all turkey hunters: Changes are headed your way in 2023. Become familiar with them before the season opens; learn more at the link below. Also, you can begin purchasing spring season permits Jan. 9.

Take part in the Nebraska Duck Slam
There are still waterfowl seasons open right now, giving you time to work on completing the Duck Slam. Successful hunters earn a pin and certificate, and may win prizes from Ducks Unlimited.

Submit a photo of yourself hunting with someone who is just beginning hunting, or has let hunting fall by the wayside. You'll be automatically entered to win prizes, including a Gator.
