On Jan. 6, 2021, for the first time in American history, the peaceful transition of power was interrupted. The very existence of American democracy was put in danger.

Two years later, and none of the far-right extremists who conceived, organized or incited the deadly insurrection at the U.S Capitol have been held accountable.

In January 2021, the most extreme, far-right faction of the Republican Party uprooted our most cherished democratic norms and put our nation’s democracy at risk.

Two years later, we’re seeing many of the same bad actors behave in a similar manner on the House floor—unable to elect a new Speaker of the House for the first time in 100 years, and once again choosing far-right, anti-democracy politics over the needs of the American people.
