Lunch on Us has changed to NextGen Gatherings. Join Maggie Lohmeyer from NextGen Ministries and fellow NextGen pastors and volunteers to network, share ideas and learn about how we can help each other in the arenas of children, youth and college-age ministry. Each event is open to any leaders from the Missouri area including paid staff, volunteers and clergy. Celebrando Esperanza Cancelled

Bishop Ortiz of Puerto Rico and Bishop Farr collaborated yesterday and determined that Celebrando Esperanza should be cancelled in February. The seismic activity in the area is predicted to continue and local transportation has been affected. As a result, the bishops decided this would not be the best time to celebrate our collaborative work. Tymera Jackson of UMCOR will continue to advise teams registered to serve in the area. If team leaders or others have questions about either Celebrando Esperanza or future teams, please contact Lucas Endicott at [email protected]. In the meantime, we will continue to pray for the people Puerto Rico.

Clergy Benefits Academy – At No Cost

Wespath invites all active clergy members of The United Methodist Church to attend the Clergy Benefits Academy – February 17-19 at the Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City. For those willing to complete an online survey, Wespath is providing scholarships covering the registration fee (attendee and spouse) and two nights lodging.  In addition, C2FM is adding a supplemental reimbursement up to $250 for non-reimbursed expenses for all Missouri attendees.
