Hi there,

My name is Marcus Switzer and I’m the Senior Advisor for Investment at Pete for America. As you may know, Pete has a big debate tonight -- it’s the first debate of 2020 and the last debate before the Iowa Caucuses.

These presidential primary debates always provide us with an opportunity to boost our momentum: when voters get a chance to hear Pete’s message, they like him. They start to pay more attention to him and engage more with our campaign. That’s why, during and in the 24 hours following a debate, we see a spike in visits to our website and sign-ups to our email list.

The stakes are especially high for this debate -- it’ll be one of the last times caucusgoers get to see Pete on the national stage. What happens tonight could convince the nearly two-thirds of Iowans who are still undecided to show up on February 3rd and caucus for Pete.

To use a volleyball metaphor: Tonight, Pete will set the ball with an incredible debate performance -- and then it’s our job to spike that ball over the net by making sure as many people as possible continue to hear Pete’s message of unity.

To conduct the most effective voter outreach programs, we need resources. And that’s where you come in. With the debate tonight, will you make a contribution now to ensure we’re able to engage undecided voters and caucusgoers where it matters most?

Thanks so much. Don’t forget to tune in tonight!

Marcus
