MARK YOUR CALENDAR—PETA'S FIRST TOWN HALL OF 2020 IS ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29,
AT 8 P.M. EST/5 P.M. PST.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend,

We're only a few weeks into the 2020s, but there's no doubt that the tremendous
progress that we achieved together last year will make this new decade a truly
historic one for animals.

The launch of our powerful, thought-provoking #EndSpeciesism campaign last year
has set the stage for us to shatter human supremacism in the months and years
ahead. We also had massive global success in our work to stop the poisoning and
near-drowning of animals in laboratories, persuading leading food and
pharmaceutical companies to commit to precedent-setting bans on cruel and
useless tests. We fueled the vegan fast-food revolution and encouraged chains
like KFC, Subway, and Dunkin' to bring flesh-free meat into the mainstream—and
we finally persuaded giants like Macy's, Prada, and Chanel to swear off animal
fur.

PETA's hard-hitting campaigns are making animal circuses a thing of the past,
and we're inspiring more travel companies than ever to cut ties with SeaWorld,
elephant rides, and other cruel attractions. And thanks to you, we were able to
deliver sturdy shelter to nearly 270 lonely "backyard dogs" and provide more
than 12,500 dogs and cats with life-changing spay/neuter surgeries.

All this is just the tip of the iceberg! To get the inside scoop on our latest
victories, explore the massive cultural shifts that PETA has brought about in
four decades of campaigning, and discover how we're dismantling speciesism in
its many forms, I hope you'll join Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman, Vice
President of Marketing Joel Bartlett, and me for our first town hall meeting of
2020—our special 40th anniversary year!

We encourage you to join us online, as we'll be sharing compelling images from
some of the many victories for animals that we won together. To participate in
the webinar, simply log on to PETA.org/JanuaryTownHall at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST
on January 29 and you'll be able to watch the presentation through your web browser and
submit your questions online. We'll send you a reminder e-mail shortly before
the meeting begins.

I'm sure that you'll leave this special PETA town hall meeting inspired by all
that we're accomplishing for animals—and if you're one of five lucky members
joining us until the end of the call, you could also leave with a free copy of
PETA President Ingrid Newkirk's revolutionary new book, Animalkind .

I hope you'll join us on the 29th!

Kind regards,

Lisa Lange
