[ [link removed] ]Add your name: Donald Trump incited an insurrection, which
constitutionally bars him from holding office. Disqualify Trump from
running for president in 2024!
Dear MoveOn member,
It’s been two years since Trump incited a deadly, white supremacist-led
insurrection and attempted to overthrow the 2020 election results—and we
have yet to see full accountability. In fact, he's building on the Big Lie
to launch his 2024 presidential run—even though the Constitution bars
insurrectionists from holding federal office!
Trump and his allies planned, promoted, and paid for a criminal conspiracy
to overturn an election he knew he lost. He went as far as to incite a
violent insurrection and then passively watch it unfold to keep power.
According to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, any person who has engaged
in insurrection or rebellion against the United States CAN’T hold
office.^1 The decision to enforce the Constitution in this matter rests
with the secretaries of state in each state, who will determine if Trump
is eligible to run as a presidential candidate—and that's why we need to
call on them to follow the Constitution to disqualify Trump from holding
office again. They have the power to affirm that Trump is not above the
law.
The time to act is now: Demand that all secretaries of state and state
voting officials do the right thing to protect our democracy by
disqualifying Trump from running for president in 2024!

The January 6 committee revealed damning evidence against Trump and his
partners in the moments leading up to the insurrection.^2 One thing is
clear: Trump is guilty.^3 He should not be allowed to run again because he
was at the center of the violent criminal conspiracy to overthrow the 2020
election.
The world was shocked to watch white supremacists attack the U.S. Capitol.
And it’s shocking that we still have insurrectionists in office and
attempting to gain more power. We’ve seen the MAGA movement continue to
grow and evolve over the years, and we’ve seen the impact of the January 6
attack to this day. Attempts to undermine our elections are still an
ongoing threat to our democracy, and without full accountability, we will
continue to see insurrectionists spread their conspiracies and attempt to
sabotage future elections.
No insurrectionist should hold public office, including Donald Trump. And
the only way to stop him and others is for election officials to keep him
off the ballot in 2024. Together, we can make this happen.

attempted coup from happening. And share with three friends as we mark the
anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Thanks for all you do.
