Jack, Speaker Nancy Pelosi just announced that the House will vote to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate tomorrow. This sets up a timeline to have procedural steps of the Senate trial begin on Thursday, with the arguments starting on Tuesday, January 21.

Our multi-pronged campaign to convict and remove Trump from office is having a big impact. There are reports that Senators Mitt Romney (UT), Susan Collins (ME), Lisa Murkowski (AK), and Cory Gardner (CO) are open to including key witnesses, which is one of the most important parts of having a fair trial.

We need to keep applying pressure on these senators! We are supporting on-the-ground organizers, mobile billboards and digital ads targeting eight vulnerable and persuadable senators. But we need to raise another $20,000 to keep our digital ads (like the one below) up for another ten days, through the start of the trial. Can you chip in $5 to help us out?

Mitch McConnell wants a sham of a trial -- one that is quick with no evidence and no witness. We cannot allow this to happen. We are demanding a fair trial with witnesses based on the evidence presented by the House. If we get one, and we only need four Republican U.S. senators to make it happen, then we greatly increase the chances that Trump will be convicted and removed from office.

Help us stand up to Mitch McConnell and hold Trump accountable. Help reach our $20,000 to keep our ads up through the start of the trial in the Senate.

Keep fighting,
Chris Bowers, Daily Kos

P.S. Below is the email with our detailed plan to target and pressure eight persuadable Senators.

Jack, yesterday Daily Kos teamed up with three powerful progressive organizations to launch our multi-pronged impeachment campaign.

Trump is one of the most corrupt and harmful presidents that has ever led our country. Daily Kos is running one of our largest campaigns EVER to convict and remove him from office. Support the campaign by giving $5 NOW.

As Mitch McConnell tries to push rules for a sham impeachment trial through the Senate; we are raising our voices to demand a fair trial that involves witnesses, documents and facts.

After a fair trial is held, we are demanding that the Senate votes with the will of the American people. Poll after poll shows the majority of Americans want to see Trump convicted and removed from office for his abuses of power.

We are running mobile billboards (like the one above), digital ads and have placed on-the-ground field organizers in the home states of eight persuadable and / or vulnerable Republican Senators: Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Martha McSally (Ariz.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Joni Ernst (Iowa), Mitch McConnell (Ky.), Susan Collins (Maine), Thom Tillis (N.C.), and Mitt Romney (Utah).

The billboards will be in highly public and influential locations, such as near in-state Senate offices, in front of local Republican party headquarters, and all over local news outlets.

Some of the field organizers have been on the ground for weeks, while others were trained last week and are hitting the ground running this week. They will set up press conferences and other visibility actions, help volunteers with direct actions like letters-to-the-editor, building local impeachment coalitions, and pushing turnout for mobilization and rallies.

This is on top of the relentless pressure the Daily Kos community has already applied by making 61,504 calls, sending 609,275 letters and 44,672 RSVP'd to events demanding accountability for Trump's corruption.

This is one of the most critical campaigns that Daily Kos has ever run, and it was all made possible through your donations. We are only limited by the amount of money you contribute. Please, chip in $5 to help us convict and remove Trump from office.

Keep fighting,
Monique Teal, Daily Kos
