The GOP can’t get its act together. They’re divided over whether they want
Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis to represent the party in 2024, and they STILL
can’t even figure out who the Speaker of the House is going to be now that
they’ve taken control of Congress.

But that doesn’t make them any less dangerous. We think they’ll eventually
figure out who they want to lead them… even though Matt Rosendale is trying his
hardest to embarrass our state in the process. If it’s Kevin McCarthy, he has
already pledged to radicals like Marjorie Taylor Green that he will launch
frivolous investigations into everything from Hunter Biden’s laptop to whether
or not Barack Obama was an alien reptile sent to take over the world (not
really on that last one, but would it really surprise you?).

And we don’t even know what kinds of concessions he’s made to the extremists
now that he’s struggled to reach 218 votes. We’re going to have a long two
years ahead of us, and you can bet our Montana representatives will be
embarrassing us all along the way. Steve Daines, Matt Rosendale, and Ryan Zinke
all love to bow down to Republican extremism, so we need to work to hold them
accountable.
