Dear John,

What better time of year is there for connecting with your Green community?

January is the perfect opportunity to get together and launch the action for the year. We know that this year is crucial for building for election success, and we know that your support is key.

Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to it and wanting to make 2023 the year that you start to take action, we'll be thrilled to see you.

We provide full training, delicious lunches and there will be socials for you to get to know the teams better. With key Greens like MP Caroline Lucas, co-leader Carla Denyer and deputy leader Zack Polanski joining across the country, it's a fantastic opportunity to be part of and grow this community.

That is why on January 21/22, we would love to see you at one of our key target constituencies where we are most likely to get the next Green MP elected.

💚 In Bristol there’s a council by-election happening right now! Our candidate Patrick McAllister is just 26 votes from winning. If he does, we’ll become the biggest group on Bristol City Council, meaning we'll have more influence in enacting Green policies.

💚 The Suffolk team will be joined by Adrian Ramsay and Zack Polanski to support the action day. Locally, the Greens are already only one seat from retaining control ahead of elections this May, so a few hours from you this weekend will make all the difference.

💚 Brighton and Hove volunteers will be joined by Caroline Lucas. After the previous action weekend, Sian Berry said, "This weekend was fantastically well organised, the people were lovely and hub lunches were also spectacularly nice. If you get the chance to go along and support the Brighton and Hove Green team soon, take it!"

💚 The Hereford team are campaigning for both national and local elections. Currently the Greens run the council as part of a coalition so there is a real chance of gaining control of the council, and turning local Conservative voters Green!

We hope to see you at one of these action days, they're great fun whether you're local or travelling from further away, and every hour given, every person taking part truly makes a huge impact. Come along and kick-start your year of climate action with us.

In solidarity,

Green Team

P.S. The Young Greens are also holding an Action Day on 28th January in Bristol. Young Greens from across Bristol and beyond will be out speaking to voters about the crucial by-election. Find out more here.
