Two years ago today, our Capitol was attacked by domestic terrorists determined to destroy our democracy.

But the truth is, the attack on our democracy started long before the violent insurrection that took place on January 6, 2021.

The far-right attacks our democracy when they make it harder for people to vote: often young people, people of color and Veterans who vote by mail.

The far-right attacks our democracy when they gerrymander legislative districts into crazy contortions so they can pick their voters as opposed to voters picking their elected officials.

The far-right attacks our democracy when they relentlessly attack and attempt to discredit the institutions that allow it to function.

And do you think that’s going to stop anytime soon?

Of course not.

Veterans and Military families play a key role in fighting back against those attacks. They've served and sacrificed to defend our democracy, and are the trusted voices to protect it here at home.
