Three Predictions for 2023 |
FILE: Chairman Kyle Hupfer speaks on the election outlook in Indiana for 2022 to Gray Television.
|
Welcome to 2023! While there may not be a midterm or presidential election this year, 2023 is still going to be another action packed year for Hoosier politics. Here are three predictions I'm making for 2023: -
Hoosiers will again choose Republicans to lead their cities and towns. In 2019, Hoosiers sent more Republicans to city hall than ever before. Today, there are 71 Republican mayors serving in Indiana that are delivering results for their constituents and communities — mayors like Tyler Moore who is putting Kokomo at the forefront or new and innovative technologies or Scott Fadness who is leading Fishers into an era of unprecedented growth. We'll again invest the time and resources across the entire state to give our Republican candidates the competitive edge, and work to hold and expand upon the number of offices we hold.
-
Republicans in the General Assembly will again deliver for all Hoosiers. We've long prided ourselves on being the Party of Purpose, of being about great politics and great policy. And with the legislative session starting Monday, you can expect that to continue. Governor Holcomb unveiled a bold agenda this week that will seek to build upon Indiana's incredible momentum, and House and Senate Republicans are expected to unveil their agendas next week. Together, Governor Holcomb and House and Senate Republicans will ensure a productive session that again delivers for all Hoosiers.
-
Indiana will maintain the pole position on a number of fronts. In 2022, Indiana racked up $22.2 billion in capital investment commitments with 218 companies committing to locate or expand their operations in Indiana. That brought along an additional 24,000 jobs that paid wages 27 percent higher than the state average. And as Governor Holcomb has said "success attracts success," and there's more to come this year. We'll also continue to make Indiana one of the best places in the country to set up shop, innovate, and grow.
All of this takes a team effort, and we invite you to join us as we continue our work to make Indiana one of the best places in the country to live, study, stay, and play. Happy 2023...now, let's get to work!
Enjoy this week's newsletter and share it with a friend. Sincerely,
|

Applications Open for 2023 Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Class |
Applications to join the 2023 class of the Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series are now open!
The Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series (IRDLS) is a seminar and leadership training program that provides the preparation and resources needed to increase the engagement of minority Republican leaders across Indiana. The program is open to Hoosiers of all backgrounds and all ages as we work to bring more historically under-represented communities into civic leadership. Members of the series build their personal network, meet with state leaders, and receive mentorship while developing additional avenues to become civically engaged in Indiana.
The series involves monthly classes, which cover topics such as inclusive language, authentic communications, diversity and civic engagement, multicultural messaging, local and state policy, and much more. The class concludes with a group capstone project and a trip to Washington, D.C. The series is the first among state Republican parties and has been described by the RNC as a “prime example” of Republican efforts to prioritize minority engagement, grow the party, connect with voters, and elevate leaders.
