John,

Two years ago today, insurrectionists attacked our nation’s Capitol, killing a Capitol Police officer and injuring 140 more people.

Let’s be clear: This was a threat to our democracy, and that threat isn’t over. In the wake of the attack, right-wing extremists perpetuated the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, running for office on platforms of undermining our democracy and obstructing voting rights.

Many of those Republicans were unsuccessful in the 2022 election thanks to activists like you who rallied behind pro-democracy candidates.

That’s why, on the 2nd anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, I’m calling on you to sign the Democrats Serve pledge to support candidates who will take a stand for the integrity of our elections and the safety of our democracy →

As we watch the same far-right Republicans who peddled the Big Lie obstruct the vote for a new Speaker and bring governing to a standstill, it’s clear that they care more about playing politics than the voters they represent.
