Also Tuesday, House members-elect like Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) gathered with family members in hopes of electing a Speaker of the House and being sworn in. Members have still not been able to reach an agreement on the Speaker and until they do, they will not be sworn in. |

Wednesday, Rep-elect Jen Kiggans (VA-02) also released an op-ed laying out a few of her priorities. The former Navy helicopter pilot is planning to "always speak loudly for our military community" and is "ready to be a strong voice for them in Congress."
