After a year and a half, the U.S. House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack has held its final public hearings and released the first sections of its report to the public.

Thank you to the committee, especially to Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney, who uncovered the truth of the January 6 attack and the events leading up to the attempted insurrection. And thank you to the individuals who shared their stories and testified to the committee. We owe a massive debt to the legislators and staffers who poured through over a thousand interviews and millions of pages of evidence to reveal the truth.

Please, join me in thanking the committee for their efforts to hold Trump and his accomplices accountable for inciting violence on January 6, 2021 by signing the committee’s thank you card.

We must ensure nothing like this ever happens again. We do that by holding our elected officials accountable and answering to the American people.

A few weeks ago, on the Ways and Means Committee, I voted YES to release Trump’s tax returns to the public. I’m proud of the work both House committees have done since 2021. The House, under Democratic leadership, has delivered for the nation.
