John—
RED ALERT: 207 members of Congress — including anti-choice “Democrat” Dan Lipinski — just called on the Supreme Court to consider overturning Roe v. Wade.1
This amicus brief isn’t just the far-fetched wishes of a few fringe legislators — it signals the ultimate endgame for the anti-choice movement: end Roe, criminalize abortion, and punish women.
This is the moment we’ve been fearing — and preparing for — for decades. With the Supreme Court set to hear its first abortion case since Kavanaugh’s confirmation created an anti-choice majority, the Court could be just months away from gutting Roe.
We’ve made a list of the most vulnerable politicians who signed on to this amicus brief — and we’re going to make them pay at the ballot box this November.
We need you with us, John. Donate to NARAL Pro-Choice America to help defeat the 207 anti-choice members of Congress who are callously calling on the Supreme Court to consider ending Roe v. Wade.
The majority of Republicans in the House of Representatives signed on to the brief, in addition to anti-choice “Democrat” Dan Lipinski of Illinois.
We’ve made it clear that when anti-choice politicians come for our rights, we come for their seats — and that’s how we elected a record number of women to Congress and ushered in a pro-choice majority in the House in 2018. But to make 2020 a record year for reproductive freedom, we need your help to make sure we have the resources to take on these fights.
Will you donate $15 to help defeat these anti-choice politicians once and for all?
One of our top targets is so-called “Democrat" Dan Lipinski, who represents a solidly blue district in Chicago, but has voted in lockstep with Trump against reproductive freedom for years. His opponent, reproductive freedom champion Marie Newman, nearly beat him two years ago. And with the Illinois primary on March 17 — just days after the Supreme Court hears arguments on a case that could gut or overturn Roe — we need funds NOW to make sure that Marie moves to the general election.
Others who signed on to the brief include Senators Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Joni Ernst of Iowa, who are rated amongst the most vulnerable Republicans up for reelection.
We’re hiring an army of grassroots organizers to make phone calls and knock on doors to make sure that these anti-choice politicians pay for their attacks on Roe.
Chip in to help defeat the anti-choice members of Congress who are calling on the Supreme Court to consider ending Roe v. Wade.
Thank you for all you do for reproductive freedom,
Ilyse Hogue President, NARAL Pro-Choice America
