Tomorrow marks the second anniversary of a day that lives in infamy -- the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Donald Trump incited a violent mob to stop the counting of the electoral votes, and to "help" Mike Pence find some "courage" to overturn the election. It was one of the saddest days our democracy has ever experienced, and certainly was the lowest point of my 12 years in Congress.

But Trump and his mob ultimately failed - thank God!

In the silver lining of that chaos was the awakening and gathering of so many good, reasonable people who realized we must defend democracy and stand for truth together if we don't want to lose both. Together, our movement succeeded at defeating many extreme candidates in the 2022 primary and general elections, and we're just getting started.

The past few days has been another profile in chaos -- brought about by Kevin McCarthy reaping the harvest of the poisoned seeds he's sewn.  How ironic that the man who'd sell his soul to have his Speaker wishes come true, can't put the MAGA genie back in the bottle. Be careful what you wish for, Kevin!

Meanwhile, the rest of us are just wishing for a Congress that wants to solve problems; for politicians who care more about doing a job than keeping their job; and leaders who will put Country over Party.

But this doesn't have to be a fantasy. The choices before us aren't just stay the same or get worse. Country first is the Reasonable Majority; we are the heroes coming to our own rescue; the ones future generations will thank someday.

Now it won't be easy. We see the chaos in Congress now; we know it's not going away with the snap of a finger. But much like January 6th, this Chaos Congress will be the siren that wakes up even more reasonable people, from all across the political spectrum. And when that happens, there's no way the Reasonable can't overcome the Extremes.

This movement has bold, never-before-seen plans for 2023 (which we're excited to share very soon), and I've never been more sure that a shift is coming -- brought about by good, reasonable people like you. So stay tuned -- it's going to be awesome; all the more so because you're part of it.
