Dear friend, 

Today was the third straight day Republicans failed to elect a Speaker, the third straight day that the new Congress wasn't sworn in, and the third straight day where Republicans put politics over people. 

After 8 votes it's clearer than ever: Congressional Republicans aren't fit to govern. How can they deliver for working families when they can't even pick a leader? Democrats have shown up, ready to work, all week — but the chaos across the aisle has brought the House to a standstill. 

Worse still, it's ultra-conservatives who are holding their party hostage. They're willing to risk their relationship with party leaders and the future Speaker to try to get more power. That's an ominous sign. 

So it's time to get to work. We need to start building momentum now to win back the House in 2024. While Republicans self-implode, Democrats will keep organizing. Will you be a part of it?
