John, we still don't have a Speaker...shocking right? Hardly.

The GOP is about as dysfunctional of a group as one could have imagined,
the reason for that is simple: they have no vision, no principle, and they
don't seek to better the country. Listen to their own words as they give
rousing speeches one after the other on the House floor and on cable news,
while all they are focused on is railroading the Biden-Democrat agenda.

Ironically enough, that same agenda is trying to improve and enhance our
national railroad grid. It's no surprise that they can't get together and
select a speaker because this is who they are. It is the same story over
and over. When the Democrats joined together and selected Speaker Pelosi,
they were able to do so because they all shared the same vision for the
country. They put the country ahead of any personal grievances they may
have held. Do all the Democrats in the House agree with everything Speaker
Pelosi does or says? Of course not, and that's okay. At the end of the
day, they know she shares their vision and under her leadership, they can
deliver for their constituents.

We must act on this opportunity as now is the time we show the American
people the stark differences between our party and our opposition. By and
large, folks expect their government to be competent and professional.
They want to make sure the elected officials are working to enhance the
country and not themselves. Can anyone say that Kevin McCarthy is working
to enhance the country? He has no shame, anyone else would be so
embarrassed to sit there and selfishly hold up the entire country so that
they can fulfill their own personal dream of being elected Speaker of the
House. The concessions he is making to achieve this dream are hurting the
institution of the Speaker's office, and he is not above causing such
harm.

Yesterday marked another round of votes and chances are by the end of the
week with still be left with no Speaker and no functioning House of
Representatives. President Biden said he was embarrassed, and this really
is a shameful period in our Democracy.
