Marilyn returned to D.C. this week to get sworn in for her second term, ready to continue delivering for the American people.
Sadly, House Republicans have descended into chaos, crisis and confusion, unable to even elect a Speaker because they are being held hostage by the extremists in their own party.
Meanwhile, in her new leadership roles as Whip for the Congressional Black Caucus and Chief Deputy Whip for the Democratic Caucus, Marilyn has worked to ensure that
Democrats remain united and ready to govern.
While Republicans flail with their slim majority, Marilyn and her Democratic colleagues accomplished major victories
with the same slim majority over the last two years. Lowering the cost of insulin, creating jobs, protecting the environment, returning manufacturing to the U.S., supporting small businesses, defending voting rights, protecting reproductive rights, and more.

This much is clear: Republicans need to ask themselves if they are serious about governing. Marilyn wants to hear from her supporters now more than ever as she prepares to continue fighting for our priorities in the new Congress.
