Hello John!
In 2009 I applied for my very first scholarship. It was one of the few I knew of available to undocumented students. I did my best, but unfortunately, my best did not win me the scholarship. I was lucky to have a community of people who directed me toward other opportunities, but I still had to develop the writing skills to make my application stand out. After many attempts and a lot of growth, I was finally able to win my first scholarship!
My own experience as a scholarship applicant is what convinced me that a Facilitated Activity Group focused on finding, applying for, and WINNING scholarships was a must. Today, I’m excited to share with you that we are offering our second round of #ICanAffordCollege: Financing a College Education as an Undocumented Student, which will start on Tuesday, January 24. This 6-week-long virtual group will offer undocumented high school and college students across the U.S. an opportunity to network with other undocumented students and develop tangible skills to finance their college educations and advocate for more (and better) campus resources.

Please join us in letting all undocumented students on your campus know about our upcoming activity groups by sharing this email! Students can also visit our website for more detailed descriptions of the groups we are offering this year. Also, don’t forget to share our interactive and up-to-date scholarship list that can be customized to students’ unique backgrounds.
Share this resource with your networks so that more undocumented students can win scholarships and finance their college education.
Thanks for all that you do,
