John, to say that my first few days in Congress aren’t going as expected would be an understatement.
What I thought I’d be doing right now: settling into my new office, and starting the work to address the real problems that people in FL-10 and across the country are facing.

What I’m actually doing right now: witnessing Kevin McCarthy get beat down by his own party, with front row seats to this GOP disaster.
If it was ever a mystery, it’s now abundantly clear that Republicans have no plan to govern, no vision of leadership, and the American people are the ones who will lose out.
The chickens are finally coming home to roost.
Over the past 6 years, Republicans have nurtured and emboldened the most extreme, MAGA elements of their party. These are the people now calling the shots - and a harbinger for what the next two years will look like.
That’s why it’s crucial for Democrats to take back the House majority and for me to keep our movement alive in Congress – because we’re the ones who will get things done.
But once Republicans finish attacking each other, I know they’ll redirect those attacks at us. We can’t let them get a head start, so we need to build up our grassroots strength NOW and show them that even if they spend millions to crush our movement, they can’t compete with what we’ve built.
