 Hey team: By now you may have heard about the utter chaos that Republicans have caused in the House with their inability to elect a Speaker. Here’s what you need to know: A member must receive a majority of votes (218 to be exact) to be elected Speaker of the House. Right now, Kevin McCarthy has lost that vote TEN times. Bottom line: The House can’t do *anything* without a Speaker. While Republicans are holding up an entire Congress with their infighting, they’re preventing the newly elected Democratic members from getting to work to deliver for American families. Republicans have proven once again that they do not care about working for the people who elected them, and it’s up to us to hold them accountable for their immature and careless actions. So please, if you're committed to keeping extremists out of Congress, will you chip in right now?
