These are the headlines on day 3 of the new session of Congress under Republican control!
The new Republican majority in the U.S. House is dysfunctional and frightening. For the first time in 100 years Congress is completely paralyzed because Republicans are rejecting their own Republican Leader – Kevin McCarthy – from being elected Speaker of the House.
In fact, the 434 elected members of the U.S. House have not been sworn in. We are currently only “Representatives-Elect” because rules require the election of the Speaker of the House before any member can be sworn-in.
Shameful! Embarrassing! Dangerous!
It is only day 3 of the 118th Congress and the Republicans have already created a dumpster fire in the House!
