Good morning John,

In case you missed it, yesterday Maine Democrats delivered a big win: passing bipartisan emergency heating legislation that will help keep Mainers warn this winter. Thanks to Democratic leaders in the House and Senate, more Mainers will have access to life-saving heating assistance as we enter som of the coldest months of the year.

Yet desite campaigning on the need to address rising costs all last year, many extreme Republicans still voted against the bill yesterday – even after Democrats met their demand to hold a public hearing last month. In fact, the emergency legislation only passed the Maine Senate by a SINGLE VOTE. If we had lost just one Senate seat in the November election, Mainers would have been left in the cold.

W [[link removed]] ith so much at stake, will you help us hold these Republicans accountable? Your early investment will help us build momentum to flip some of these GOP seats in the next election. [[link removed]]

While we celebrate the start of another legislative session, we need to start the organizing necessary to reach voters across Maine to ensure continued Democratic Success in 2023 and beyond. Republican leaders prove time and again that they would rather fight against the best interests of Maine people than work with Democrats. We can do better.

Would you consider a donation of [[link removed]] $5 [[link removed]] today to help us jump start our efforts to reach voters across the state? [[link removed]]

Thank you,
Maine Dems
