In 2019, Mercy Corps and our dedicated field teams who work every day in more than 40 countries connected with over 29 million people across the world. We were able to get them the tools they needed to get through seemingly impossible crises, the resources they needed to build the futures they deserve, and even share some of their stories along the way. And as Mercy Corps’ lead photographer, it’s part of my job to bring these stories to life for you. Stories of perseverance. Stories of hope. Stories of a better world becoming possible. 
As we enter 2020, I want to share with you the stories of just some of the people whose lives your support can change. People like Sofia, a 2-year-old girl in Guatemala who now has a safe place to play after Mercy Corps installed a playground in her neighborhood. Or people like Rawan in Palestine, who was able to get the skills that are key to building a career for herself after attending a coding academy in Hebron. I hope you experience these stories and understand just how far your support can go. Over the next year, I’ll be on the road again, continuing to help tell the stories of just some of the people whose lives your support continues to change.
