John,
Two years ago tomorrow, President Trump led a violent insurrection in an attempt to overturn the will of the voters and cling to power.
The voters had said no. The courts had said no. Even his own Vice President had said no. So Trump, along with his allies in Congress, incited his supporters to take violent action against the government to try to stop the peaceful transition of power that forms the basis of our democracy.
Trump and his allies in Congress have escaped accountability for far too long. It’s up to us to put on the pressure and keep up the work to make sure that they don’t get away with their attempts to undermine our democracy.
Help us reach 30,000 signatures before tomorrow demanding that 7 elected officials be investigated for whether they participated in the insurrection and disqualified themselves from office →
Since January 6th, 2021, CREW has been hard at work fighting for accountability and justice.
– We’ve requested records of elected state officials’ participation in January 6th
– We demanded the DOJ bar insurrectionists who swore to protect the Constitution from public office
– We’ve sued the government for insurrection response records and exposed the botched response
On top of all of that, we’ve tracked corporate donations to members of the Sedition Caucus — the 147 members of Congress who voted to reject one or more states’ election results, and we’ve launched criminal complaints against President Trump and senior Trump administration officials.
CREW refuses to give up on the fight for accountability and transparency in our government — and we need you to fight with us.
Take just a minute to sign our petition demanding possible insurrectionist elected officials be investigated and held accountable →
Thanks,
CREW HQ
