Spring is a stressful time for many students awaiting college acceptances. Help reduce the pressure around admissions and perceptions about rankings by recentering the conversation on fit and leaning into what the research says.
WAYS TO PRIORITIZE FIT OVER RANKINGS
1. ATTEND OUR VIRTUAL COLLEGE WORKSHOP

Created for parents, students, counselors, and educators, join Challenge Success as we explore the research around college admissions and address common questions including:

- What is “fit” and why does it matter?
- Are students who attend higher-ranked colleges better off later in life?
- What do college rankings really measure?
Interested in bringing this workshop to your parent community, PTA, or student body? Inquire here.

“I'm so glad I attended this workshop. I feel much more educated and less stressed about the college admissions process and learned strategies to better prepare myself."

2. RANKINGS AREN'T EVERYTHING

Rankings are not and should not be the only criteria for determining the value of a post-secondary experience. This recent New York Times piece shares about recent changes to law school rankings and gives some insight into the metrics used to rank colleges in particular.
3. GET INFORMED AND SHARE

Read and share our white paper, "A 'Fit' Over Rankings." We review and synthesizes key research to address the questions and concerns we most often hear from students and parents. The cliff notes version:
      1. Rankings are problematic.
      2. College selectivity is not a reliable predictor of student learning, job satisfaction, or well-being.
      3. Engagement in college is more impotant than where you attend.
